Chinese Government to Offer 3b for Semiconductor Industry

The Chinese Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Information Industry, and the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission has set up a fund to support the Chinese semiconductor industry with three billion yuan from 2006 to 2010. As part of China's 11th five-year plan, the fund will be carried out through project subsidies, tax incentives and low-interest loan schemes.
